The AE Light Xenide Explosion-Proof 25W Searchlight is designed for use by professionals who require an extremely safe light that also offers an impressive throw. This handheld flashlight has been rated safe for use in Class I Div 1 hazardous areas, thus making it the perfect illumination tool for use in construction zones and in military settings. Unlike other handheld search lights and lanterns, the AE Light Xenide 25W Searchlight measures just 13.5 inches long and can therefore be easily held while on the job. The explosion-proof flashlight offers an impressive 3000-foot beam throw, which is incomparable with other handheld lights. In addition to its extremely far beam throw, the AEX25 also offers a bright, 1500-lumen output that runs for approximately 130 minutes. This HID searchlight runs on a 4800mAh lithium ion battery that can easily be re-powered using the included charger.

Commonly referred to as Xenon these powerful lights are actually Metal Halide. The name XENIDE® (zee-nide) is derived from the words Xenon, an inert gas with cleansing properties and Metal Halide salts added in the arc chamber that vaporize when charged to create the light plasma.
