Thought I'd try these out as an alternative to buying rechargeable C's. I have a couple of dozen rechargeable AA and just seemed to be a cheaper option. Works well.

I didn't do that, instead I just grabbed the spring (in my device to which I would be inserting the battery into) with a pair of needle-nosed pliers and bent the spring inward more to touch the AA battery in order to make contact. I have a lot of rechargeable AA batteries and keep nothing else. It's nice to be able to power some old piece of electronics again, even if they use the now-seldom-used C-size, like old cool flashlights.
