High-Drain Replacement Batteries
These Sanyo batteries are designed for use in battery packs to power high-power electronics, such as an electric bicycle and EV powertrains. These rechargeable cells have some of the highest-rated capacities currently on the market, as well as excellent discharge rates. For example, the Sanyo NCR18650GA batteries offer a continuous 10-amp discharge current as well as an impressive 3500mAh capacity for longer lasting power. The Sanyo NCR20700B is a slightly larger 20700 cell and offers an unmatched 4000mAh-capacity and is rated at 15A continuous discharge. These Sanyo NCR batteries feature Lithium Nickel Cobalt Aluminum Oxide (LiNiCoAlO2) chemistry, or NCA, which offers higher capacities and longer life spaces. The downside to NCA cells is their higher cost. Please note that these replacement cells are unprotected and are therefore recommended for use in battery packs with protection circuits.
