The new SOG Aegis AT-XR is a folding knife designed for everyday and rugged outdoor use. With a 3.13" blade and a closed length of 5.01", this knife can be easily carried on a belt or in your pocket. The Aegis AT-XR has a built-in lanyard loop to make carrying that much easier as well.
Blade of Steel
The blade in the Aegis AT-XR is made from a combination of a high-carbon steel that is cryogenically heat-treated and a D2 steel that provides high wear and corrosion resistance. This blade will retain its shape and edge even when used daily.
Ambidextrous Lock and Design
Designed to be safely used by all, SOG has patented their Assisted Technology (AT) XR Lock which can be used one-handed (and with either hand). This knife opens smooth and, once fully opened, it locks into place. Plus, there's an added thumb backstop for added security. The AT-XR lock has a system that can withstand up to 1500 pounds of force when opened and locks securely when closed. Never worry about opening your knife accidentally in a pocket again.
